Herts Basketball Needs you
Herts Basketball is calling for older adults in Hertfordshire the opportunity to train as score keepers and timekeepers in basketball matches across Hertfordshire. This is a unique opportunity to stay active, engage with the community, and contribute to the success of local basketball.
The courses are funded by Herts Basketball and are online or if requested can be delivered face to face, hopefully at University of Hertfordshire at your convenience. This is a great opportunity for people to get involved in sport and get paid to participate. At least £15 per game.
Scorekeepers and timekeepers are the unsung heroes of basketball games, ensuring that every point, foul, and time-out and the timings of play are accurately recorded. Their role is vital to the smooth running of the competition.
For older adults, becoming a scorekeeper or timekeeper provides an opportunity to be socially active and engaged within the community keeping you mentally sharp and active whilst providing an opportunity to meet new people make friends and become part of a local thriving basketball community in Hertfordshire. This is all whilst learning new skills with training being provided to ensure that you are comfortable at either score keeping or time keeping providing the opportunity to learn new skills that are both interesting and rewarding.
